Frequently Asked Questions

We get asked a heap (aussie word for lots) of questions about moving to Australia. These are the most common responses!

  • What is the process to get a Recruitment role in Australia?

We start with an initial 15 minute call on WhatsApp to learn more about your plans.

Next we will have a more indepth meeting on video to learn more about you and what you are looking for in an agency.

We will get interviews with our client and guide you through that process.

We will support you with your Visa process and if need you connect you to our partners who are immigration specialists.

Then you are on the plane to your new life in OZ

  • How much experience do I need?

You need a certain amount of experience to qualify for some Visa’s.

Typically, that is around two years of recruitment experience.

However, if you don't have that much experience it is still worth a conversation as there are other options.

  • Do I need a Visa to work in Australia?

Yes you do. There are a few different options for you to consider if you are looking to be here for an extended period of time.

The most common one people start on though is the Working Holiday Visa. Check out this link to learn more about it and if you qualify.

If you dont qualify for this one though, don’t stress, your Aussie dream is still possible.

  • Who pays for the Visa and Relocation costs?

If you are looking to stay an extended period of time you will need to be sponsored. That will typically be paid for by your new employer.

It is rare that relocation costs are covered. Some companies may help out with some of these costs but do not expect it.

  • How long does the process take?

We recommend that we have an initial discussion with you as soon as you make the decision you want to move.

Even if it is a year away, no time is too early to have an initial chat.

Typically we will look to have you interviewing 6/8 weeks prior to you arriving in Australia.

  • What will I be paid?

Basic salaries in Recruitment in Australia are on average a little higher than the UK, so you can expect to have a little extra in your pocket.

Just like in most other countries commission structures vary company to company but are reasonably similar to areas like the UK, Ireland and North America.

Our Favourite Testimonial

"Lee was fantastic to deal with, not only was he able to open doors for me but his guidance in navigating the Australian market and identifying the agencies I best suited was invaluable. He really took the time to get to know me and hit the nail on the head with the options he presented. His support through the process was excellent and in the end, I felt informed and comfortable with my decision to relocate.

I highly recommend reaching out to Lee to anyone trying to tackle a foreign market on their own. As soon as I engaged with him the whole experience was just better! "
